Main responsibilities will include:
Lead the design, development, implementation, and validation of manufacturing processes for new products. This will include leading process development reviews, communicating process status and plans.
Participate in regular project meetings and reviews with cross-functional team members to track project status and effectively follow up on action items
Communicate with cross-functional team members and suppliers to understand and determine product process and equipment specifications
May supervise or manage technicians, engineering interns or associate engineers
Document process development including manufacturing procedures, protocols, and reports
Develop and maintain a broad knowledge of product design, manufacture, and assembly techniques
Estimate resource requirements, workload assignment, production times for manufacturing processes
Train technicians, operations and quality assurance on new design and process development and test methods
Manage the manufacturing site selection process based on the evaluation of internal manufacturing sites, suppliers, and contract manufacturers
Participation in or creation and control of a project budget (expense and/or capital expenditure)
Participate as a subject matter expert and/or lead design and technology transfers to manufacturing
About you:
B.S. degree in an engineering discipline is essential.
4+ years of industrial experience in process development, preferably in medical device or other regulated FDA/QSR and ISO environment.
Demonstrated hands-on technical aptitude with knowledge of cGMP and GLP.
Working knowledge of DOE and other statistical methods.
Strong written, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead cross functional teams.
Ability to analyse data, interpret results, and write reports. With the ability to create and execute project plan.
Basic tooling, design and drafting knowledge.
Training in Six Sigma or Design for Six Sigma.
Experience in design and technology transfers.
Experience with process validation (IQ, OQ, PQ) is distinct advantage.
PMO certification is a distinct advantage.
