RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee and monitor inventory management staff with their responsibilities.
Responsible for employee work assignments.
Oversee inventory management team (cycle counts, audits, system/physical disposition of expired and damaged inventory, donation orders and government inventory rotation).
Conducts investigation of discrepancies and inconsistencies in Distribution processes.
Responsible for inventory accuracy, including area cycle counts and root cause analysis.
Responsible for employee training within assigned area to include training and reviewing SOP’s with employees.
Responsible for ensuring safety and security processes are followed.
Ensures warehouse equipment is maintained and in good operating condition.
Establish, maintain and drive attainment in inventory accuracy goals and metrics.
Maintain inventory management records and metrics.
Research and reconcile inventory adjustments and report the cause of discrepancy.
Effectively utilizes and ensures compliance with BD’s inventory control and warehouse management system (JDE, DLX).
Plans work schedules and assign duties to maintain adequate staffing levels, to ensure that activities are performed effectively and respond to fluctuating workloads.
Review work throughout the work process and at completion, in order to ensure that it has been performed properly.
Transmit and explains work instructions to employees.
Evaluate employee performance, prepare performance appraisals; prepare and maintain work records and reports that include information such as employee time, and inspection results.
Conduct staff meetings to relay general information or to address specific topics such as safety
Recommend or initiate personnel actions such as promotions, transfers and disciplinary measures; resolve personnel problems complaints or refer them to higher-level management for resolution.
Responsible for following Good Documentation Practices (GDP) as outlined in SOP.
Support the operations team with projects.
Work with operations team to improve inventory accuracy levels.
Performs other Distribution related functions/duties as assigned.
Work with the financial analyst to complete the MDN process.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum 3-7 years supervisory experience in fast-paced environment
Must have knowledge of inventory and warehouse management systems
Knowledge of inventory control techniques
Manhattan WMS experience a plus
COMPETENCIES:
Ability to perform/operate in a metric driven environment
Good organizational and time management skills. Must be able to multi-task
