Job Description Summary

Head of Inside Sales is a strategic leadership position, responsible for driving the revenue growth. This is achieved through high impact sales strategies, leverages technology to enhance performance and fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

Using extensive experience within Inside Sales, the Head of Inside Sales will integrate external digital and commercial best practices and market trends for continuous improvement of our Inside Sales organisation.

Define and implement the Inside Sales strategy to achieve revenue targets with the goal to achieve market expansion.

You will collaborate with many stakeholders across the BU’s and functions, therefore it is essential that you have excellent communication skills, organizational skills and be a strong team player. You will lead, develop and coach the Inside Sales team to drive associate development and engagement of wider team.

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Lead Inside Sales Team responsible for the delivery and success of Inside Sales on behalf of BD in UKI and manage the collaboration, communication & coordination of Inside Sales Country Business Plans
  • Create a strong, growth mindset culture
  • Lead, mentor, coach and develop the inside sales team to achieve individual and team objectives
  • Responsible to partner with regional Commercial Excellence stakeholders on commercial effectiveness within EMEA region
  • Ensure the Inside Sales organisation structure and design remains competitive with external trends and technology available in the market
  • Set and track performance against sales targets for the team; generate profitable sales across the BU’s; driving gains in market share, margin protection and profitable growth objectives for all core products and services
  • Utilise data to drive insights, reinforce sales tactics and better forecast performance
  • Through stakeholder management the ISM will champion the adoption of Commercial Excellence strategy for Inside Sales
  • Create and execute technology adoption roadmap within Inside Sales to deliver revenue growth and become industry leader
  • Build, nurture and develop a best in class internal sales team; provide the inside sales force with support with meeting scheduling and follow up
  • Build an open-communication environment for your team
  • Build call plans and schedules and processes working with Marketing around Omnichannel Campaigns
  • Report on sales metrics and suggest improvements – Dashboard preparation
  • Collaborate with the BU Leadership Team on the BU strategy
  • Play an integral role in the UKI BU Management Teams, helping to shape the strategic direction of the business
  • Evaluate and adopt Inside Sales Best Practice from other industries

About you

  • Proven experience as an Inside Sales manager
  • Strong track record of developing, coaching and managing effective teams
  • Previous Medical Device Industry sales experience preferred
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and team management skills
  • Results Driven with continuous improvement mindset
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Strong Team Player
  • Hands on experience with CRM software (eg SFDC) and MS Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
