As Nordic Finance Manager, you will take full responsibility for finance compliance, statutory reporting, and tax-related matters for legal entities across the Nordic region. Based in Sweden, this permanent role combines hands-on technical accountability with people leadership, acting as the primary point of contact for Nordic finance compliance while supporting the Senior Finance Manager in delivering accurate US GAAP and local GAAP outcomes within the wider organisation.BD Finance is a world-class team that is recognized as a valued partner to all areas of the business. Main responsibilities will include:
- Delivering accurate and timely US GAAP and local GAAP statutory reporting for all assigned Nordic entities.
- Ensuring monthly US GAAP reporting is completed on time and free from material misstatement.
- Leading compliance activities across statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements for the region.
- Driving standardisation, best practice, and continuous improvement across reporting and month-end processes.
- Managing external audits, statutory accounts, and tax submissions in collaboration with external advisers.
- Overseeing balance sheet reconciliations and audit readiness, including the resolution of audit findings.
- Leading entity closures and end-to-end processes from US GAAP close through to local statutory accounts.
- Coaching, developing, and motivating a Stockholm-based finance team to deliver high-quality results.
About you
- You hold a recognised accounting qualification and have experience in a finance manager role within a local or regional context.
- You bring strong knowledge of Nordic compliance and local GAAP requirements, with exposure to US GAAP as an advantage.
- You have proven experience working with external auditors, tax advisers, and shared service environments.
- You are confident leading teams, developing talent, and supporting succession planning.
- You demonstrate strong analytical skills and a structured approach to problem solving and process improvement.
- You are fluent in English and Swedish, and comfortable working across a matrix organisation.
