The Home Care business within BD is unique in that it can manufacture products for consumers in the home and service them through our medical distribution subsidiary, Liberator Medical.  This business unit engages with a variety of stakeholders that range from B2B2C and leverages omni-channels to drive awareness, engagement, conversion, and retention of our customers.  The mission of the Home Care business is to deliver clinically superior solutions for people with chronic bladder conditions in their pursuit of normality and independence.  Solutions include both products and services to support customers through their entire journey.     

Liberator Medical Supply, a subsidiary of BD, is seeking a dynamic and visionary Marketing Director-Liberator Medical Supply (LMS) to oversee all aspects of marketing strategy and programs, ensuring the highest levels of patient and clinician retention. You will collaborate extensively with business, product, technology, legal, and executive teams to deliver and execute campaigns that align with our short and long term goals. RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Marketing Director- LMS is responsible for supporting the marketing programs, customer outreach, analyzing trends, strategic plans, and competitive analysis.  The position will report directly to the General Manager- LMS and work in close partnership with the Purewick and Urology Strategic Groups.  

The role will oversee strategic content and patient, Health Care Provider (HCP), and Payer related needs across marketing functions and business partners to support achieving commercial and marketing objectives. This includes the following responsibilities:

  • Develop marketing strategies – crafting and executing marketing integrated campaigns with patients and HCPs.

  • Provide consumer insights and research by leveraging data, analytics, and customer insights

  • Establish brand awareness and positioning LMS as the top DME choice for patients, HCPs, and payers

  • Implement best in class digital strategies across multiple channels including website development, social media, and paid media

  • Working closely with internal and external business partners to ensure cohesive messaging of content and communications

  • Manage trade shows and events

  • Create go to market initiatives and analysis for current and new product line extensions including expanding sites of care

  • Functional excellence – BD way of marketing content needs

  • Support brand sentiment work including NPS (net-promotor score) - coordinate LMS Operations on strategic implications

  • Own and execute against strategic planning (e.g. annual marketing plans, ASR development) including revenues, retention strategy, expense budgets, and KPIs to support the overall BD goals and objectives

  • Ensuring marketing efforts align with DME regulations and compliance

  • Ad-hoc projects  

GENERAL LEADERSHIP:

  • Effectively partner and collaborate to drive key strategic and tactical marketing initiatives

  • Collaborate with Purewick and Urology Business Leaders  to coordinate LMS marketing  initiatives and drive execution

  • Partner and collaborate across upstream and downstream BUs as needed to drive key strategic initiatives

  • Manage and optimize expense budgets to achieve business goals and objectives.

  • Drive effective associate engagement including rewards & recognition

  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team.

  • Be agile and perform other related duties as assigned by the General Manager-LMS

  • Flexibility to travel within US to other BD locations and customer sites up to 20% of the time.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • BS/BA in Marketing or Business, Life Sciences, or a closely related discipline. MBA desirable.

  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant Marketing experience in medical device and/or Life Science market is required with demonstrated success customer centric communication, collaborative strategic planning, and omnichannel engagement.

  • A minimum of 5 years of Marketing Management; leading others in Marketing is required.

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience leading teams.

  • Sales experience is preferred.

  • Track record of achievement in delivering large and/or multiple projects and influencing business outcomes.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement commercial strategies, and convert these into tactical marketing plans, delivering results.

  • Solid business acumen and knowledge of homecare and direct to consumer market environment.

  • Sound decision making capabilities and the ability to make decisions, even in absence of consensus when necessary.

  • Creative out-of-the-box thinker who is intellectually curious, stays current on new trends, and takes calculated risks with novel ideas.

  • Excellent presentation and communication skills for a wide variety of audiences with the ability to present the strategic vision in a summarized format

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to develop strong relationships with key opinion leaders, customers, advisory boards, and potential or existing business partners.

  • Strong leadership skills with an ability to set a vision, lead change and to motivate others.

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to meet tight deadlines in an environment of competing priorities. Ability to routinely work on multiple tasks with multiple people while effectively prioritizing.

  • Strong leadership presence with ability to utilize organizational channels, experience and influencing skills to effectively negotiate and persuade others.
