To assure the proper MX law requirements are met for all goods Imported into Mexico as part of the of the Maquiladora program and to meet US law requirements.

RESPONSABILITIES:·

his position has the authority to manage and decide only in specific situations of the operation, however, the employee has limitations in decision-making on issues related to the cost of material, taxes, permits regulated by the different positions in general. Nothing that violates the basic principles of the company and its interests.

·Mexico customs inventory control in accordance with Mexico's Annex 24 – Inventory control.

·Prepare and send weekly reports of import invoices to the team of the Mexican Customs Agency.

·Coordinate empty trailers for imports and exports.

Direct teamwork with our US broker, comprehensive review of WI and everything related to import materials.

·Work and coordination with the verifier of our MX customs agent in the detailed import review of EQ and MRO. In addition to raw material with new part numbers.

·Monitoring and tracking of inventory in our US cross-dock, not allowing material storage after 3 days. (Work hand in hand with the requisitioner/user)

·Support in maintenance of annex 24 and 30, confirmation of operations (pedimentos)

·Keep the Customs software (Vastera) clean, without unused petitions, etc.

·Execute imports under any customs regime IN, AF, MRO A1, Chemicals etc. complying with everything that represents the operation and legal compliance.

·Ensure compliance with BD SP reports.

·Annual NAFTA certifications of origin for raw materials.

·Maintain files of all information required for import/export in accordance with the laws of Mexico and the United States.

·Ensure compliance with OEA / CTPAT monitoring reports.

·Mandatory compliance with the general and security procedures that apply to this position.

·Coordination of the local transport company for Cross Boarding Import and Export.

·Coordination with the team for sending empty trailers for Imports and Exports.

·Coordination with the shipping and planning team for special import and export requirements.

·Support the customs coordinator in special projects.

·Generate purchase orders in the JDE system for payment to suppliers.

·Teamwork and coordination with internal and external associates, suppliers etc.

·Additional activities if required.

·Completed or ongoing career on foreign trade and customs.

QUALIFICATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree completed in International Trade or similar
  • 3 to 5 years of experience
  • BASIC customs classification Knowledge, MX and US Customs Law Knowledge, Annex 24 and Annex 31, Pedimentos
  • PC skills to include Microsoft Excel & Word. Customs Software Skills preferred.
