Position Summary
The Chargeback Claim Resolution Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring the financial integrity and compliance of chargeback processes. This position is responsible for the comprehensive management of chargeback claims, which includes the detailed analysis, validation, and reconciliation of claims.
The Chargeback Analyst will engage and collaborate with Distributor partners, GPOs, Commercial Customers (Healthcare Delivery and Channel Partners), as well as Contracts, Analytics, and Claims teams to support exceptional and cutting-edge operational capabilities. They will work closely with these internal departments and external stakeholders to resolve disputed claims efficiently and accurately. This role requires a deep understanding of contractual agreements, industry regulations, and the specific nuances of the sector. Additionally, the analyst will establish policies, processes, and governance to ensure the effective implementation of complex chargeback activities that manage business opportunities appropriately.
The Chargeback Claim Resolution Analyst will be tasked with maintaining meticulous records of all chargeback activities, ensuring that all claims are processed in accordance with contractual terms and regulatory requirements. This includes verifying the accuracy of claim data, identifying discrepancies, and implementing corrective actions to prevent future errors. In addition to claim resolution, the analyst will generate detailed reports on chargeback trends, discrepancies, and resolutions, providing valuable insights to management for strategic decision-making. The role also involves continuous process improvement to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of chargeback claim resolution.
Candidates must have effective communication, technical, and organizational skills and be accountable for achieving key metrics. This position will utilize multiple ERP systems, report tools, and support all BD and BARD businesses.
This position demands strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a collaborative mindset. The ideal candidate will have a background in accounting, finance, or a related field, with experience in chargeback processing and contract administration within the biotech or pharmaceutical industry.
Accountabilities in this role
Reporting to Chargeback Resolution Manager, this role will oversee all operational aspects of chargeback and sales tracings errors, and direct contract pricing claims for all US business segments. The role will handle the disposition and resolution of all claims related to Commercial Distributor Chargebacks and Sales Tracings, IDN & OEM Sales Tracings, and Direct Contract Pricing.
Use multiple ERP systems, reporting tools and support all BD businesses.
Partner closely with Distributor partners, IDN’s, Channel Management, Commercial Contracting teams, Analytics/Master Data, Customer Care and IT to improve operational activities.
Team accountability spans over $25M in chargebacks and sales tracings claim disputes.
Essential Responsibilities
Manage resolution and communication for all aspects of the chargeback and sales tracing errors and direct claims for resolution with our channel partners and customers.
Partner with Contract Operations, Offer Development and Customer Care functions to support business process continuous improvement activities, identify insights on root cause analysis/error prevention solutions and implement operational enhancements.
Partner with Chargeback & Sales Trace Account Management Team to accurately track, monitor, and communicate disputed lines for resolution.
Support a Continuous Improvement (CI) plan to deliver process/procedure harmonization.
Align and complete workload consistent with set metrics/KPIs and service level expectations associated with operational effectiveness, preventative analytics and customer satisfaction.
Adhere to policy and procedures per contracts playbook, business guidelines and chargeback processes.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required.
Minimum 1 year experience preferred in Commercial Contracting or Chargeback Operations preferably
Strong understanding of chargeback operations, pricing claims management, contract operations, policy and process development, contracting technologies and automation capabilities.
Strong technical skills in applications such as MS Access, Excel, Power BI, AS400, and Vistex SAP ERP systems along with analytics and reporting solutions experience
