Main responsibilities will include:

• Identification of process hazards, evaluation of associated risks and creation of effective mitigation solutions
• Development and continuous improvement of High Hazard and PSM programmes, including PHA execution, timely follow-up of findings, KPI development, compliance monitoring and delivery of training
• Tracking of leading and lagging indicators to measure the progress of High Hazard and PSM programmes
• Leadership of Process Hazard Analyses for existing and new processes
• Evaluation and optimisation of new and existing processes and facilities, with close cooperation with maintenance to strengthen programmes for highly technical equipment
• Oversight of the site Management of Change process, including control of the PHA schedule and recommendation implementation
• Execution of Root Cause Analyses for incidents and near misses, as well as conducting and overseeing Pre Start-up Safety Reviews
• Mentoring of colleagues and participation in programmes related to High Hazard and PSM, including representation of the site towards authorities and insurance partners

About you:

• Degree in Chemical, Facility or Mechanical Engineering, or Disaster Management
• Minimum five years experience in a manufacturing environment
• Proven experience in a PSM regulated setting with familiarity with the elements of Process Safety Management and the EPA Risk Management Plan
• Strong command of English
• Qualification in an EHS related field or interest in pursuing one is desired
• Experience in fire loss prevention or programme development considered an advantage
