Job Description Summary
We are searching for a Data Science Product Owner who is naturally curious, takes initiative, and wants to improve healthcare at a national scale. You are meticulous, collaborative, and define success before you start analysis. You also have experience scaling machine learning models, creating data pipelines, and developing user experience measures. This is a fully remote role.The BD data science team develops innovative products powered by machine learning that streamline workflows, promote standardization, and recommend actions so clinicians deliver better care. Our solutions are practical, timely, and rapidly improve because of our deep relationships with leading healthcare providers. We are experienced trailblazers who love to collaborate and innovate.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Channel the voice of the customer and advocate for enhancements that measurably improve model performance, user experience, and engagement.
Work with the technical product manager and matrix partners to develop a cohesive product roadmap.
Partner with the Data Science Senior Manager to develop objective, reliable, and valid user experience measures.
Ensure R&D analysis drives recommendations for scalable solutions.
Use Agile principles to identify, plan, and track progress, as well as mitigate risks.
Document and monitor data lineage, completeness, and validity.
Understand the product backlog and prioritization.
Take ownership of product opportunities, team development, and drive resolution.
Preferred Requirements
Experience iteratively delivering meaningful, automated, high-quality machine learning solutions.
Knowledge of data management principles, data cleaning, model validation, and performance measurement.
Experience writing complex SQL, R, and Python code preferred.
Experience using database tools (dbt) to create efficient, timely data pipelines between environments (Snowflake, Azure, Hadoop, SQL) for analysis and implementation.
Experience with healthcare utilization data (medical claims, lab, Rx, or EHR) preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in a technical, business, or clinical field; Master’s preferred.
