Job Responsibilities: (Primary Duties, Roles, and/or Authorities)
 The list of responsibilities and activities is neither restrictive nor limitative. The manager or boss has the prerogative to assign another list of responsibilities and activities in function of our clients and company
needs at all times.
 Provide schedules and purchase orders to suppliers according to the agreed method, and based on each supplier individual characteristics, material and demand behavior.
 Reviews and responds to JDE generated MRP messages and information as required.
 Establish along with Sr. Buyer and/or Purchasing Manager, supplying method with suppliers.
 Prepares, calculates and reports raw material PPV to department manager.
 Monitors dispositions and execution of non conforming material as needed on all of its codes.
 Uses Electronic Document System (EDS) to review component specifications.
 Responsible for the complete process since purchase planning to the corresponding payment for each of their assigned part numbers or raw materials.
 Provides information to be utilized in MRB meetings as required.
 Works along with Sr. Buyer to submit MDN to eliminate excess / obsolete material.
 Participates in Cost Saving Improvement Programs.
 Participates in supply chain process improvement.
 Supports customs with NAFTA programs.
 Establishes and maintain appropriate inventory levels.
 Ensures on time material delivery optimizing freight cost.
 Works with production planner to review and respond to production needs.
 Manages and requests materials from CIMSA warehouse.
 Supports SBU activities such as scrap reduction programs, Kan-Ban, Kaizen, lean Manufacturing initiatives, etc.
 Runs and analyzes inventory turn reports.
 Utilizes different available computer software to generate analysis reports as required.

 Works in coordination with support departments, customs, traffic, IQA, etc., when shipment/materials
need to be expedited.
 Contacts transportation companies to expedite shipments.
 Defines and maintain JDE ERP/MRP system planning parameters for its correct performance.
 Analyzes, investigates and corrects troubleshoots JDE MRP system outcome before executing
messages.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or certificate preferably.
4 years minimum of experience in purchasing preferably.
Computer Skills / Windows / MS Office Literate.
APICS or ISM certification highly preferred.
Knowledge of ERP/MRP system required.

Language Skills: Intermediate
