General Summary
The Forklift Operator is responsible for the safe, accurate loading and unloading of products within the distribution center.
Duties and Responsibilities
Process customer orders including but not limited to scanning bar codes, picking pallets and labeling pallets
Process orders using RF technology, focusing on damage prevention
Load and off-load inbound and outbound shipments utilizing the WMS.
Report discrepancies between the inventory count and shipping/receiving documents.
Locate and retrieve products as well as replenishes picking locations.
May be required to perform other duties as assigned.
Other Duties and Responsibilities
Must adhere to attendance policies.
Required to maintain current status in C2C training modules.
Responsible for following Good Documentation Practices (GDP) as outlined in SOP.
Associates are responsible for performing their job activities in a safe and reasonable manner and in accordance with safety requirements.
Maintain a clean and professional image.
The associate must maintain a clean, neat and orderly work area at all times.
This associate may be provided with Hazmat training to include general awareness, function specific, security awareness, security plan and safety training.
Job Requirements
High School diploma or GED preferred
1 Year Experience with Material Handling Equipment – at least one piece of equipment is required and multiple pieces are preferred (Reach Trucks, Counterbalance (slip and clamp), and Dock Stocker)
Ability to obtain a forklift certification.
Ability to read and interpret distribution documents.
Required to operate MHE and use an RF scanner.
Basic analytical, organizational and prioritization skills.
General distribution knowledge.
Strong initiative and drive for results.
Good verbal communication skills.
Ability to work under minimal supervision.
Safety vest and safety shoes required.

The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing this job, the associate is regularly exposed to episodes of walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, balancing, crouching, reaching, pushing/pulling, grasping, hearing, twisting, lifting, frequent use of hand to finger, handle, feel, pick or type which can include repetitive motion of the wrists, hands or fingers. The associate may occasionally be required to climb. The job may require lifting over 50lbs in some areas but not all. Associate must have normal field of vision corrected to 20/40 in each eye and must have sufficient hearing to safely operate in a manufacturing/distribution environment.
Work Environment
The noise level is moderate to loud.
There will almost always be exposure to work near moving mechanical equipment, exposure to precarious situations.
Occasionally the position will have exposure to fumes/airborne particles.
The warehouse is temperature controlled, maintaining comfortable consistent temperature year round.
