Summary of Job Description
A Product Specialist of Advanced Patient Monitoring (APM) at BD (Becton, Dickinson and Company) in Taiwan is responsible for promoting and selling specific medical devices or product lines. This involves understanding the product's features, benefits, and applications, as well as the competitive landscape and customer needs. Also understand the clinical value proposition of specific product to execute strategies to advance patient access and market access. They work closely with sales and clinical teams to develop and implement strategies to achieve sales targets and market share growth.
Responsibilities
1) Product Expertise: Developing in-depth knowledge of BD APM products and their applications, including technical specifications, features, and clinical benefits.
2) Market Access: Strongly understand the Taiwanese healthcare environment and able to co-work with BDX GA and MA workforce to develop value dossier to advance patient access to APM technology.
3) Event Coordination: Handle and coordinate sales and marketing activities to maximize sales revenue, including society certified symposiums, workshops and annual congress.
4) Market Analysis: Conducting market research and analysis to identify opportunities, understand customer needs, and monitor competitive activity.
5) Marketing Strategy: Collaborating with marketing to develop and implement marketing plans, including promotional materials, events, and campaigns.
6) Customer Engagement: Building relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders to promote BD APM products.
7) Tendering and Pricing: Assisting with the development of tendering strategies and pricing analysis for public and private sector tenders. Provide and maintain up-to-date customer records in terms of ASP, customers’ activities and competitors’ activities etc.
8) Product Lifecycle Management: Managing the product lifecycle, including product launch, promotion, and obsolescence.
9) Sales Operation Support: Complete administrative reporting as assigned, i.e., expense reports, account profiles and analysis, daily planners, competitive updates. Manage inventories with distributors and support current customers and optimize customer product utilization and efficiency.
10) Other assignment: Proactively take on and complete all tasks and projects assigned by the manager.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor or Master degree in Science, preferably in Medical/biomedical engineering/ biology/ chemistry.
2. Preferably with sales experience in medical or pharmaceutical field
3. Experience in Medical device industry/Hospital environment preferred
4. Ability to work in a matrix environment with sales, physician customers and across geographic and organizational boundaries
5. Well organized, quick thinker and creative
6. Highly motivated and positive
7. Good communication and interpersonal skills in both English and Chinese (written or verbal)
8. Occasional travel may be required
9. Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
