This is a great entry-level opportunity to work hands-on with innovative automation technology used in hospitals, pharmacies, and central fill facilities. As a Preventative Maintenance Technician, you’ll support customers across Toronto and Ontario by maintaining advanced robotic systems that automate the preparation of pill dispensers—part of our cutting-edge Medication Management Systems Pharmacy Automation & Dispensing solutions.
Key responsibilities will include:
Travel to customer sites and provide technical support in a professional, prompt, respectful and courteous manner at all times.
Train, support and carry out maintenance on robotic systems as required and according to established procedures.
Conduct follow-up visits to meet customer needs.
Prepare and write service reports in accordance with internal procedures.
Participate in the continuous improvement of the company's departmental practices.
Other tasks as needed.
Knowledge and Skills required:
Strong written and verbal communication skills and be fluent in the English language.
The ability to work independently, as well as in a team setting, in a clean and organized manner.
A commitment to upholding company policies, compliance and quality standards.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Access).
Strong client-service orientation along with a high sense of urgency.
Flexibility for rotational work (weekends) and be able to travel to our clients’ sites daily, overnight, or as needed.
Manual dexterity and keen attention to detail.
Education and experience required:
DEP in mechanical engineering, industrial mechanics, automation or other relevant and similar field.
Must be able to travel up to 30% as needed.
Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and a past clean driving record for a minimum of 3 years, as well as meet BD's auto safety standards.
Must be able to lift a minimum of 70 lbs, and work on your feet for extended periods. This position requires a considerable amount of pushing, pulling, stooping, bending, and lifting.
Preferred qualifications:
Knowledge of the pharmaceutical, medical device industry, and/or automation systems an asset.
Familiarity with CRM tools management is a plus, Salesforce experience preferred.
