Job Summary:

The Technical Consultant, Solution Deployment, is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and support to our pharmacy automation clients. This role requires demonstrated expertise in implementing and maintaining systems within both hospital and retail pharmacy environments. You will be required to work with a multidisciplinary team so that our solutions can be implemented successfully.

Job Responsibilities:(Primary Duties, Roles, and/or Authorities)

  • Participates in conference calls and customer meetings to ensure alignment and progress on project goals.

  • Provides team support and shares product and technical expertise related to BD Medication Management Solutions.

  • Manages customer stakeholder teams, facilitates consensus, and ensures clear, consistent communication.

  • Builds and maintains strong customer relationships to support long-term business partnerships.

  • Applies problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to consult on pharmacy best practices in medication management workflows.

  • Demonstrates knowledge of pharmacy formulary builds and integration with hospital, retail, and long-term care pharmacy systems.

  • Utilizes critical thinking to help customers enhance their business operations and workflows.

  • Masters the features and functionalities of multiple BD applications.

  • Delivers outstanding customer support tailored to individual client needs.

  • Customizes product features to align with specific customer requirements.

  • Maintains accurate documentation for customer projects, expenses, compliance, and reporting.

  • Actively contributes to customer assessments, project design, and implementation of BD Medication Management Solutions.

  • Completes internal documentation and project deliverables accurately and on time.

  • Performs additional tasks as required to support business objectives.

Education and Experience:

  • Programmer-Analyst College Degree or equivalent is required

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT support is required.

  • Pharmacy automation experience is strongly preferred.

  • Experience in retail and/or hospital pharmacy support is strongly preferred.

  • Experience in WEB technologies is preferred.

  • Pharmacy informatics experience, an asset

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Fluency in both English and French (read, speak, write) to communicate with colleagues and customers across Canada is required.

  • Strong knowledge of programming languages, among others: C ++, Python, PHP, PL / SQL is required.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel is required.

  • Strong decision making, problem solving and troubleshooting skills.

  • Detail oriented, able to multi-task and implement complex projects consistent with established BD and customer objectives.

  • Possess excellent organization and time management skills, with the flexibility to readily adapt to change.

Physical Demands: (if applicable)

  • Ability to lift at least 40 lbs as needed. This position may involve pushing, pulling, stooping, bending, and lifting.

Work Environment: (if applicable)

  • Field based, home office position.

  • Located in Canada near an international airport, to facilitate travel.

  • Travel up to 50% but may fluctuate based on project and team needs. The role requires travelling across Canada.

  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and a past clean driving record for a minimum of 3 years, as well as meet BD's auto safety standards.

  • Attend training on assigned BD instruments as requested. Must be able to travel to the US for training purposes.

Responsabilités professionnelles: (tâches principales, rôles et/ou pouvoirs)

  • Participer aux appels-conférences et aux réunions avec les clients afin d’aligner les objectifs et les échéanciers du projet.

  • Fournir une expertise technique et une connaissance approfondie des produits liés aux Solutions de Gestion des Médicaments de BD.

  • Travailler avec les équipes de parties prenantes du client, faciliter le consensus et assurer une communication claire et cohérente.

  • Établir et maintenir des relations solides avec les clients pour soutenir le succès commercial à long terme.

  • Dépanner et conseiller sur les meilleures pratiques pharmaceutiques dans les flux de travail de gestion des médicaments.

  • Faire preuve de connaissances sur la création de formulaires pharmaceutiques et l’intégration des systèmes dans les milieux hospitaliers, de détail et de soins de longue durée.

  • Appliquer une pensée critique pour aider les clients à améliorer leur efficacité opérationnelle et leurs résultats commerciaux.

  • Maîtriser les fonctionnalités de plusieurs applications BD.

  • Offrir un soutien client personnalisé et adapter les fonctionnalités des produits aux besoins spécifiques des clients.

  • Maintenir une documentation précise pour les projets, les dépenses, la conformité et les rapports.

  • Contribuer aux évaluations clients, à la conception des projets et à la planification de la mise en œuvre.

  • Compléter la documentation interne et les livrables du projet avec exactitude et dans les délais.

  • Effectuer d'autres tâches selon les besoins pour soutenir l’évolution des besoins de l’entreprise.

Éducation et Expérience:

  • Diplôme collégial de programmeur-analyste ou équivalent requis.

  • Minimum de 5 ans d’expérience en soutien informatique requis.

  • Expérience en automatisation pharmaceutique fortement souhaitée.

  • Expérience en soutien aux pharmacies de détail et/ou en milieu hospitalier fortement souhaitée.

  • Expérience en technologies WEB souhaitée.

  • Expérience en informatique pharmaceutique, un atout.

Connaissances et compétences:

  • Maîtrise du français et de l’anglais (lecture, expression orale et écrite) requise pour communiquer avec les collègues et les clients à travers le Canada.

  • Solide connaissance des langages de programmation, notamment : C++, Python, PHP, PL/SQL requise.

  • Connaissance de Microsoft Excel requise.

  • Excellentes aptitudes en prise de décision, en résolution de problèmes et en dépannage.

  • Souci du détail, capacité à gérer plusieurs tâches et à mettre en œuvre des projets complexes en cohérence avec les objectifs établis de BD et du client.

  • Excellentes compétences en organisation et en gestion du temps, avec une grande flexibilité pour s’adapter facilement au changement.

Exigences physiques: (le cas échéant)

  • Capacité à soulever au moins 40 lb au besoin. Ce poste peut impliquer de pousser, tirer, se pencher, se courber et soulever des charges.

Environnement de travail: (le cas échéant)

  • Poste basé sur le terrain, avec bureau à domicile.

  • Situé au Canada, près d’un aéroport international pour faciliter les déplacements.

  • Déplacements jusqu’à 50 % du temps, pouvant varier selon les projets et les besoins de l’équipe. Le poste exige des déplacements à travers le Canada.

  • Doit posséder et maintenir un permis de conduire valide ainsi qu’un dossier de conduite sans infraction depuis au moins 3 ans, et répondre aux normes de sécurité automobile de BD.
